If like me you are always walking around in your own little bubble, you may not even realise what there is right under your nose. Everyone knows how much I love a soft play and there is one literally on my doorstep.
I’m always popping into this shop, Premier Convenience in Pirbright. As when we’re at the park, Im sure everyone knows just how many snacks and drinks you need to take out with you (but no matter how many we take we always end up needing more and this shop is perfect.
On this occasion I’m glad we did, because it meant we stumbled across Kids Zone. Based inside the Premier Shop is a cute little soft play area, and it’s very reasonably priced too. Spread over two floors, and safely enclosed it’s a great place for the children to burn off some energy whilst the adults can sit and have a little break.
It has the usual soft play equipment with foam rollers to run through, a double squiggly slide, huge bouncy balls, a steep step which you can pull yourself up and over (or just launch yourself down the other side like Isabella did) and a fun wind machine – where you place the balls on top and the wind shoots them in the air.
Isabella thought this was hilarious as whenever she placed the balls on the top the wind would blow her hair all over the place.
Our favourite part was the small inside basketball court / football area. Isabella and I practiced our skills at shooting them into the net, and also brushed up on our football skills by scoring goals. This little area was great as meant she could run around, and have this in addition to the softplay.
There is also seating and tables by the soft play so you can easily sit down and keep a careful eye on the children playing, or even sit here and have a bite to eat.
Currently they are open Monday – Sunday 10am – 4pm (reviewed May 2024)
No need to book, you can turn up any time during opening hours, and the sessions are for 90minutes. There is no charge for adults, and the pricing of admission is currently £3.50 for 1 and 2years of age and £4.50 for 3+ years.
The fantastic Beech Grove playground is very short walk away too (about 2 minutes in fact) so you could definitely make a fun morning or afternoon here too.
