When Tesco’s free Santa grotto first launched it was incredibly popular and tickets booked out really quickly. During a cost of living crisis it gave all families the opportunity for some Christmas magic. Last year in 2025, there was no general release of tickets and some but not all people who had signed up for a newsletter received an invite.
With tickets previously released in early November, the big questions is
Will Tesco have a free Santa’s Grotto in 2025?
So far there has been no general release of tickets or public announcement from Tesco on a free Santa’s grotto.
Tesco Santa’s Grotto Email Code 2025
Last year we heard from one person who received an email from Tesco about the Santa’s grotto, but not everyone signed up for a newsletter received an email. If 2025 is the same as last year then the Tesco grotto will be by invite only and the criteria for this hasn’t been confirmed. Perhaps large families with a high spend at Tesco stores?

Tesco did an amazing job at creating such a magical experience for the whole family, and all for free.
One of Santa’s helpers welcomed us into the grotto, where we saw Christmas gifts being brought to life in the elves’ workshop.
We then had the chance to write wish lists to Santa in the workshop and pop them into the speedy post box. Finally a happy hello and a ho-ho-ho from Mr Claus himself.
Loved that we were given digital photo to remember the day too. This was such a great event which Tesco has put on, the attention to detail was amazing, and you can see that so much effort has gone into creating these special moments.
Free or Cheap Santa’s Grottos 2025
If you don’t get the chance to visit a free Santa’s grotto at Tesco this year, there are free and low cost alternatives. Christmas light switch on events often have the chance to meet Father Christmas. School fairs, Christmas markets and special events are great options too.
