Cogges Springs to Life for Feb Half Term
10 February @ 10:00 am - 18 February @ 4:00 pm
Family fun on the farm for half term
This year is all about getting together, so why not visit Cogges farm for a unique day out this spring – opening on Saturday 10th February, just in time for half-term! A Cotswold treasure nestled in the heart of Witney, the much-loved heritage farm is open to visitors every day during the open season.
Kids will love the friendly animals – say hello to goats, ponies, Cotswold sheep, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs and spot the farm cats. Look out for activities in the Manor House and try the zip-wire and adventure play. Pick up an Explorer Backpack, and see minibeasts close up in the meadows and orchard. With 17 acres of open space for to enjoy, create your own adventure! The annual Season Ticket is fantastic value – visit as often as you wish during open season, with discounts on special events throughout the year.
Check out the website to see what’s on, from half-term to Easter family activities, or come for a cream tea in the Café for Mother’s Day. Famously known as ‘Yew Tree Farm’ from Downton Abbey, see where all the action happens.
Grown-ups can try something new and learn a skill in a unique setting and choose from a range of arts & crafts, nature and wellbeing workshops. Cogges Kitchen café & shop opens daily from 9am, no ticket needed, and well-behaved dogs on a short lead are welcome too!
Cogges shop is full of special gift ideas and locally-produced goods, from homeware to gardening tools, or try Cogges honey, straight from the garden bees. See artwork and crafts on display, made by local artists and talented volunteers. Cogges Heritage Trust volunteers were recently awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award a local voluntary group can receive in the UK – visit Cogges this season and see why!
