Are you looking for where the best lambing days are are in 2024 in Surrey and nearby counties? It’s a wonderful experience for children and a lovely start to spring.
Spring is such a lovely time of the year, with the long winter nights going, new buds on the trees and best of all, the lambing season. It’s a great experience for kids to visit a farm and delight at meeting these adorable lambs. There are lots of places around Surrey and nearby to meet newborn lambs and at some places you can even bottle feed them.
Here are a selection of the best lambing days around Surrey and we’ll keep adding more. If you know of somewhere missing from the list, let us know. Some of the farms have lambing everyday and others are just special weekend events. Many places also have other activities going on so you can make it a full fun family day out with the kids.
Lambing Days in Surrey
It’s the most exciting time of the year with over 500 gorgeous new born lambs due end of March until early May. They have an Easter Extravaganza event which would be perfec to see them from 29th March to 14th April.
Chobham Adventure Farm – Chobham
Lambs have already started to be born at Chobham Adventure Farm. Great place to visit for a full family day out with lots to do both indoors and out
Fleecy Frolics Lambing Weekend at Merrist Wood College (Guilford)
The College’s annual lambing event, held across two days, is a celebration of nature and countryside crafts. Visitors can meet our lambs, watch countryside craft demos, visit the farm, shop for homemade gifts, animal handling and more. 20th – 21st April
Miller’s Ark Farm – Hook (Berkshire)
Millers Ark Animals – the first family lambing weekend takes place in Feb well as separate adult only lambing days. (Hook near Basingstoke) Next event 9th to 10th March
Elm Nursery Children’s Farm – Sutton Green near Guilford
No specific lambing event this weekend but lots of opportunities to meet the animals at their Easter event. 29th March – 14th April, closed Easter Monday
